Our Approach
Neuropsychological testing is a specialized form of assessment that allows providers an in-depth look at the brain function of their patients beyond what can be offered by neurological examinations and brain imaging studies. Neuropsychological testing examines a range of cognitive functions and how they contribute to functional impairment in the patient’s day-to-day life.
Trustworthy Evaluations
Neuropsychological evaluations provide expert opinions regarding treatment recommendations, work capacity, the permanency of alleged deficits, and the causal relationship between an alleged injury and reported cognitive changes. A comprehensive neuropsychological exam typically takes 4 to 8 hours and includes standardized tasks measuring intelligence, memory, attention, executive functioning, motor skills, sensory perception, visual processing, social cognition, emotional functioning, and language. These assessments help clarify the presence and extent of neurological deficits with clinical precision.
Accurate Diagnoses
Neuropsychological testing is often an integral part of the diagnostic and treatment process for a wide range of neurological and neurocognitive conditions, including: concussions and TBIs, TIAs and CVAs, neurotoxicity, hypoxia/ischemia, neurodegenerative conditions such as major neurocognitive disorder, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, learning disorders, autism, and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Objective measures of functioning, including performance-based tools such as a cognitive performance test, support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Fast Appointments
Our scheduling team works diligently to ensure patients are scheduled within 24 to 48 hours of being referred.
